"Average" does not mean "99%". To me, average means 50%.

You mean median...

Average is correct in that case, median number would indicate the number 50% of people have higher and 50% have lower.

Depending on the sample the average can be much higher than the median.

They will when their supply line starts to get constipated by them. I'm sure with 7950's applying pressure from the top and 7850's from the bottom, the 7870 price will fall. It might take a couple of weeks.

Kind of. Even discounting the better overclocking potential of the 7950 and it's 'premium-ness', the hd 7870 should not cost more than $320, since the 7950 is 15% faster. Ideally it should be $300.

Wrong, if the average is the mean and not the median, which is what I meant by the way.

So, you believe that "99% of HD 7850s are gonna easily get 1.05-1.1GHz on stock voltage because it's an average overclock."..?

Whether it's median or mean, you're saying that 99% is correct? I hope not.. 🙄
