Kitchen Stuff: Olive Oil flask/cruet

The wife broke our olive oil cruet and I need to find a replacement.

Ours is just like this, only larger (holds somewhere around 20 oz) and built of thicker glass, and I'd love to find another one just like we have.

Surely they have a huge selection.

Why not just keep it in a bottle in the cupboard? It'll go bad much faster if you leave it in a clear bottle exposed to the light.

I have one, but I just have it filled with cheap oil for decoration. After sitting for about 6 months the oil becomes practically clear from being damaged by UV.

It'll go bad much faster if you leave it in a clear bottle exposed to the light..

The wife likes having it out. It's the only oil we use for cooking, and we go through it in far less time than it'd take to go bad.

In fact, if we can't find exactly the one we want (Erlenmeyer flask shape + spout like that one has), we're getting that one.

Buy a crock of Tullamore Dew. You get a pretty decent Irish Whiskey, and the crock is good for oil.

Go to a bar supply store and get a couple of pourers. Stick one on the top of your favorite olive oil.
