In WWII, Mainland America was not being directly attacked. How many of you would have rallied against us entering the war then? I have to laugh every time someone compares Saddam to Hitler and Iraq to WW2 Germany. Gimme a frickin' break. Iraq simply does not have the technology or manpower to take over the middle east. Saddam hasn't, nor has the power, to kill millions of people like Hitler. The U.S. to Iraq is like China to Tibet.

No one thinks Saddam has a large and powerful army(it was a large army at one time). He has chemical and biological weapons and either has or is close to nuclear weapons.

What do you think the point of WMD are? To cuddle with at night?

You think Israel doesn't have the means to fight back? Iran? Saudi Arabia? If Iraq threatened Israel in particular, there'd be a lot of dead Iraqis. I don't think it is our deal, let them screw with each other. If the time comes that Iraq is a threat to our nation, then let's go blow them up. That'll never happen though, because his army is weak and his technology sucks. If Iraq started invading countries in the middle east, their neighbors would become extremely apprehensive and probably fight back. Iran and Israel in particular aren't on very good terms with Iraq.

Thing is, Saddam isn't Hitler. Iraq isn't Germany. At the mention of U.S. troops, Iraqi soldiers run in fear.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with an invasion of Iraq, but to compare him with Hitler is just outrageous.

I agree Saddam needs to be removed from power, but Iraq is a threat to us right now. Your scenario of Saudi Arabia and Iran fighting along side Israel is impossible. Saddam has clear expansionist ideals and Saudi Arabia and Iran could not contain him. If Saddam were to attack Israel first and try to overrun them, other Arab countrys would be dying to help. Sorry, but Iran and Saudi Arabia will NOT hold Iraq in check. Your scenario is asking for a dangerous confrontation and WMD would be used.

I don't think Saudi Arabia and Iran would HELP Iraq annihilate Israel, because they would be threatened afterwards. Also, if you look at the statistics that Millenium gives, they show that Iran actually has a larger army and more artillery pieces than Iraq. I don't think Iraq would win any war with Iran without horrible casualties. Also, remember...Israel actually has nuclear capabilities. Iraq may, we don't know for sure, but they do have bio and chem weapons. I think Iraq would be hesitant to attack Israel, considering Israel has much better weaponry and nukes at their disposal...and they're not afraid to use 'em.

Iraq has attacked Israel in the past with Scud missiles. Iraq's arsenal is not limited to conventional means and neither is Iran. Iraq has more control over its citizenship and has more people to draft immediately than Iran could do with its current leadership. Trust me we do not need another Iraq-Iran war. Saudi Arabia would love to get rid of Israel and if you don't believe that you are delusional.
