Confirmed...i bought 2x 256MB HyperX PC3500 sticks from BB today - they were 2.60v version. I removed the heatspreader and they were Kingston labelled chips inside.

Memory wont run DDR433 under any timings.....highest i got it to boot was DDR430 @ CAS 3.0 still not stable @ 2.70v....i will try to see if i can get the 2.50v version of it but dont get the 2.60v version

look on the sticker on top of the chip and it will show you the voltage required to run it....its going to be either 2.5v or 2.6v.
i got the two sticks of 2.6v (they didnt had any 2.5v) and they both are Kingston memory chips.

I am going to return these chips to BB and see if they have the 2.5v chips....if not, then i will get the money back

Yep, I went to BB and got 2 sticks too. They had three and I looked at all of them. Fortunately for me 2 were 2.5 and one was 2.6. I went with the set of 2.5. I hope they work out well. What is under the heatsink of the 2.5's?

The memory is not crap. Only Kingston's new revision of HyperX is compatible with your chipset. They'll replace it with a compatible revision for you. They even ship first if you let them put a hold on your credit card.
My HyperX is running at 220MHz sync and dual channel at Cas 2-2-3-7 in my mb with the same chipset as yours.

I've got 2x 512MB KHX-PC3500 2.5V which runs DDR450 in 2-3-3-7 when I feed it 2.85V! ;)

I'm a cas addict rather than a MHz one. I have mine running 2.0-2-2-5/200MHz @2.77v
Mem tested stable @205MHz at those cas settings. Think mine are 2.5v'ers.

You can check it using

Aida32! This prog rules if you want to know what's inside your rig! ;) (point to: Motherboard -> SPD -> Modulespanning (dutch, sorry) )
