Corsair is definately better.
But the margin is no insignifigant, the HyperX is a much better buy.

Do a little slurge for future OC'ing potentional though. Go with at least PC3000 or PC3200 for that little extra umph. You only talking pocket change more.

I've been looking at Corair memory from Monarch Computer. They say this about the module I selected:

The CMX512-3200C2PT is a 512MB, dual bank, ultra-performance DDR SDRAM DIMM screened specifically for gaming applications. This memory has been selected by Corsair's Compatibility Lab for its outstanding performance in motherboards commonly used in gaming rigs. This memory has been verifies to operate at 200MHz (2-3-3, IT command rate_ and 166MHz (2-2-2, IT command rate). Generally, one 512MB module will outperform two 256MB modules in a given motherboard. Side-by-side comparison indicates that this is one of the fastest modules available in the world.

To use this on a mobo based on the i875 Canterwood 800/533 FSB chipset do you have to use two modules to take advantage of Dual-channel DDR or to get the best memory timing?
