Kingston Hyper X 3000, 3200 or 3500 with an IC7 & 2.4C?

I'm pretty much set on getting an IC7, but I want to know what flavor of Kingston Ram I should pick up with it.

From what I've read the KHX3000 holds its own with the higher speed memory, but I'm not sure if that's luck of the draw.

What would you folks do? is the 3200 or 3500 worht the extra $$? or should I bank on the 3000 being able to handle higher mem b/w speeds?

If you are getting a 2.4C and trying for speeds around 3.4, I would recommend the 3500. This way, you can hopefully run a 5:4 divider with an FSB of 285 and get DDR 456. You would have to relax the timings quite a bit from the 2-3-3-7 that I believe HyperX 3500 is spec'd at for DDR 434 but it is possible.

First figure out what speed you hope to run at and then buy memory accordingly. If you were at 285 but with 3:2 divider you would only need to hit DDR 380, and HyperX 3000/3200 would be adaquate.

I'm going for the khx3000. I think I'll try those things you said, figure out speed of my CPU.
