CC has Kingston Tech 512mb PC3200/2700/2100 DDR SDRAM part # KGT KVR400512R for $99.99 - $35 IR - $45 MIR = $19.95 online or B&M

It is their Value Ram but this is $5 better than last week when I bought a pair, but remember only one rebate per address. Mine is working great with no problems. Sorry but I didn't find any other specs on the website. This is the cheapest I can find 512 pc3200 anywhere on the net.

Sorry, i am not a techie or a big gamer so I just plugged them in and let them scream. In my 3 year old Compaq I upgraded from a total of 512 to 1 gb and really noticed the difference right off the bat with loading and working with large files like 8mp RAW picture files. You might find more info at Kingston's webpage, or from other folks. Good luck with them.

It's a big tossup, since they use so many different chips, and places of manufacture. I'm seen packages marked Made in China, South Korea, Taiwan, and USA. All seems to contain different chips and configurations.

I got a package of Made in South Korea, and it was Samsung chips (part #M3 68L6523CUS-CCC), single-sided. Some have reported double sided chips. Don't know how the other different chips comapre. I don't overclock, but tried to push the timings. Lowest I've gotten is 2.5-3-3-5 @ 200MHz. These chips won't do CAS 2.

234 Mhz, at the mobo limit, on my last Kingston stick. This is great for cheap ram.
Kingston 512Mb PC3200 -5 double sided noname, CCity July-05
3-8-3-3 timings, default voltage, passes Prime95 ok 15+ hours.
VIA MPM800 motherboard passes Memtest v32 @234 Mhz for hours.
=========

EDIT: new stick passes memtest v32 for hours doing 2.5-3-3-8 at 234 Mhz 2.6v (468 DDR).
