Outpost has the Kingston 512MB PC3200 400MHz 64x64 DDR 184Pin - Model #KVR400X64C3A/512 for $70 less $25 rebate. This is the ValueRam line. Wonder what is the difference between this and their other memory lines?

Is this a good price for this memory ??

Guys I just picked this exact ram up from CC today. The deal at CC is good till 1/29 (Sat).

$99.99 retail
$84.99 with Staples $15 off $75 coupon (many CC's will accept but YMMV)

$40.00 MIR rebate (Goes to Kingston)
--------
$44.99 + tax

Staples has a deal on some DDR2700, but I have always had good luck with the Kingston Value.

i have one of these in my machine, just picked up another one.
this is good ram, but not particularly desirable if you're looking to OC,

Bump for Rebate extension.

Rebate now valid till Feb 1st

I was checking with a friend, if appears that memory prices for 512MB, for eg, are actually higher now when compared to a year back, contrary to what one would expect. So with the rebate, this price just about matches some of the good deals back then.

Anybody who use this-> what timings did you run the memory at? No need to overclock, just want to know what timings at default(200mhz) speeds.

If you look in some of the recent Hyper X hot deal threads, some people can't get their Hyper X that high. Meaning some think they're about the same chips with a pretty heatspreader. But I personally have no clue. 😉

I ran memtest on this memory for 7 hours at 2-3-3-6 on an 3.2E and an Asus P4P800 SE, with no errors.
This was at 2.65 v.

I have had problems trying to run at 2-3-2-5. I would occasionally get errors, but I could not tell if it was due to my setup or the memory.

I the process of testing the mem, I fried my MB; I cannot tell you more about the mem until I get a new MB.

Hyperx ram is awesome, i get cas2 aggressive timings and runs flawlessly. My chip cant take any more but the ram can.

Using the link in the OP, it still shows $45, and says the rebate expires the 22nd, but the actual rebate says through Feb 8th. Is that just some trick Outpost likes to pull?
