yes, it's compatable. the 8200 uses pc2100 ram too.

I might just pick some of this up for my Inspiron 8200 along with a 7200 RPM Hitachi drive. A friend of mine upgraded his and it was like a new notebook. We really noticed a difference (and cheaper then buying a new laptop).

Just to clarify, the Dell 600m only runs at PC2100, but Dell gives you PC2700 ram with it. Unfortunately, when I bought mine, I got 2x256 sticks because it was like 150 cheaper.

That PNY deal at BB is non-officially dead. It also involved $30 rebate. PNY brand (whatever OEM product) is not as good as Kingston. The only advantage is the PC2700 spec.

excellent! got some of this for my Compaq x1050. I've been wanting to upgrade
