Kingston 2GB CompactFlash Elite Pro $122 AR

The digital cameras that take 256MB cards like Canon A60, they're also compatible with 1GB & 2GB cards or no?

🙂

I'll take thisone.

1. You're at Mardi Gras
2. You're without your camcorder.
3. Boobage everywhere and you need to send a video report back from the front.

Hello! A lot more video footage (and consequently 15 times more boobage) can fit on 2GB.

c627627, normally, if the memory card is more expensive than the camera, then it either won't work or not worth it, for the camera that is 🙂

anyway, the 1GB is plenty for A60

Are both these compatible with cameras that take 128MB cards? What's the limit anyway?

("limit" as in Windows 9x/Me having a 137 GB "limit" without PCI cards...)

Yes.

Compact flash (CF) has a lot of the read and write hardware on the disc instead like the other mediaformats (SD, MS, XD, etc) which has more hardware on the reader (camera). The effect of this is that old CF readers are compatible with the newest CF media whilst the other formats sometimes need firmware updates or could be uncompatible.
