Thanks. I may have to jump on this if Buy.com fails to ship the one I ordered by the end of the rebate period. My last status from Buy.com is that they are "still looking" WTF

the card I got from eCost is made in Japan. As a general rule, the Japanese made cards will trounce the Chinese made cards, and often are less suspectible to corruption.

Using HD-Speed and a Sandisk 2.0 reader, I clocked this Kingston 256 at 6000 KB/s-8000 KB/s. Considering most lower end cards are ~2000 KB/s, this is a steal. I cant confirm that are all Japanese cards. (and have no info on the other sizes)

Will try the ordering dept. of ecost. I wonder why they didn't just leave the rebate form up on their site. Browsed through their kingston rebates and they're only for the current promotions.
