Kingston 128GB SSDNow V Series SATA II 2.5" Solid State Drive - SNV425-S2/128GB

Total Price: $139.95 including rebates

EDIT, looks like a couple of price mistakes, listed for $139 A/R - I got two of them and was only billed for $280, but the rebate form looks like $45... I dunno... so $95 A/R?

EDIT 2 : They corrected their errors, price is now $139 A/R

OR, get it with the notebook bundle for $10 more

Kingston 128GB SSDNow V Series SATA II 2.5" Solid State Drive, Notebook Bundle - SNV425-S2BN/128GB

Total Price: $149.95 including rebates

EDIT Corrected Rebate Form

ummm, site says $65 after rebate....but rebate should be $45 I think...not $75. looks like 128gb for $95?....maybe $65?!!

again, according to rebate form, the BN model is the $75 rebate...I think buy.com has the wrong wording in the ad...however, at even a $45 rebate...this is 128gb for $95.

BTW: I bought first....question later!

Note that when you open the rebate form, the $75 rebate is shown for the notebook model, while the regular model is shown with $45 rebate only

May be a Buy.com mistake

eBillme 2x Cashback today only = $20 cashback. I'm in.

Price: $139.95
MIR: -$45.00 (Not $75 as indicated)
eBillme Cashback: -$20.00

Effective Price: $74.95

Not too shabby if you ask me.

It is definitely an error. Check the UPC #s. The one being advertised is UPC #740617168747, which is the bare drive, and it qualifies for the $45 rebate, not the $75 one. The $75 rebate is for model# SNV425-S2BN/128GB (UPC# 740617168778), which is the notebook bundle.

Too bad, really, but if you're an ObesePurse member you can get an extra 4% off the original price, bring it to $89.35 AR, which is still pretty hot. These may not be the fastest SSDs, but I'm pretty sure that they don't have the problems that the SandForce or even the Indilinx drives have been reported to have.

The SNV425-S2/128GB seems dead. It won't let me add to card, says item no longer available.

Save another $7 through Shop Discover. Limit 2 for rebate. Hmmm, at $88 ($45 rebate) this is tempting. I hope it isn't some massive screwup at Buy.com because if I receive 64GB versions in the mail I'll be pissed!

EDIT: DOH! They "fixed" their error. First, it was added to my cart at $215 each, then it was no longer available. GL on those who got orders in. If you actually get the drives for $140 before rebate and get the $45 rebates, you seriously got a HOT deal!

HOLY CRAP!

Check out the new rebate form in the OP. The rebate on the bare drive is up to $75! Looks like all who jumped on it at $140 before rebate are going to end up getting it for $65 AR as long as they ship 'em.

SSD deal of the year!

ARGH...every time I get sent out on the road (i.e. no internet access), I end up missing a deal like this. I think I'll fake going on the road tomorrow to see if I can get it to happen again? :p

hmm ebill me 2x cashback? if i can get that through mrrebate (itshows 5%) would be 30$ also if use 10$ for new customer and obesepurse mentioned above if possible plus rebate you can get it at 100$ after tax or sub for no tax, for 120+ SSD nothing comes close

edit: on the other hand i find to many down reviews on newegg several reporting stutter in games due to lack of cache others with early failure? along with OS install was going to do games as well so this is bad news

Limited time offer.
Offer does not apply to Gift Card orders.
2X applies to the rate of cash back earned.
You may earn up to maximum of $20 per order.
You may earn up to maximum of $200 every 12 months

So it doesnt matter if you get 2X cashback, you're still capped at $20

Yep, I didn't notice that until after my first couple ebillme orders. :(

I have a pair of these in raid0 from the last deal. Honestly doesn't seem that much faster than my old 1tb hitachi.
