I also remembered that Shop Discover has 5% cashback for Buy.com.
alid for first time Buy.com customers only.
Wife will be around to receive it, but I don't need her askance glances.
$10 off $200 coupon brings it below $1 per GB...also FatWallet has 4% cash back (IIRC)
$114.xx after coupon, rebate and cash back. Damn tempting.
Damnit, I bit. Created a new account using my Gmail addy. so that I could use the coupon. Sequence: Add coupon, add drive and then go to Fatwallet and click through cash back link to "try" to get 4%. Check out using that window. Used Paypal to avoid using credit card over again. Hopefully, $114 to $115 or so after cash back, coupon, credit card rebate and mail in rebate...life in the big city!
and u can do 2 rebates...
Sequence: Add coupon, add drive and then go to Fatwallet and click through cash back link to "try" to get 4%. Check out using that window.
I would add coupon, go to FW for 4% link, and use that window to add the drive to cart. It is my understanding you won't get FatCash from a site for items already in your cart.
Small detail that could be worth $8.
I do love your effort to shave every last penny though!
"Usually", there is a disclaimer on the cash back site for this situation. I've used Buy.com in this fashion in the past and received the fatcash. I'll just file a dispute if I don't get it, LOL! 😛
(but yes, your method would be the preferred method...wasn't thinking straight today and do Newegg this way all the time....just a reflex move).
did it work for you?? I'm curious because I haven't done fatcash at all before and don't see anything listed at the moment =)
mrrebates.com also has 3% off.
After using many cash back sites, I have to say that Mrrebates.com is by far the worst. I've done 3 transactions with them, followed to the letter, and ZERO back. I've even filed claims with them and they say that they take it back to the seller and nothing ever happens. As far as I'm concerned, a waste of time.
I can second this. Took me over half a year to get money from them. Every "step" disqualified me and I had to write in and have everything manually adjusted over and over. Ive never tried FW, so we'll see, but with Mrrebates I literally had to wait for the full duration of every date to pass by:if it says "Up to XX" days....it means they will make you wait that long. I had to contact and complain several times (Each time I patiently waited for the "Please Allow X Business days before a response" time to pass before I contacted them. After threatening to report them to the BBB, somehow things got expedited). Horrible experience.
Atleast I visit FW regularly just to see the deals lol (Hot Deals, FW, and SD)
