I've read too much bad stuff about this to feel comfortable with it. Although the internet has a habit of creating a false reality out of myth (e.g. one person says something and it becomes a ridiculous legend), there are a lot of people who've run benchmarks on this thing and it's just not performing very well. It looks like there may have been a change in memory in the units and although they still perform to the specs that Kingston uses, their specs may not be a great representation of real world, and more real world oriented bench marks are not doing great.
EDIT: as awful as rebates are I just got the Samsung Evo 840 120GB for $104 shipped - $30 in two rebates, which both expire tonight at midnight, from tigerdirect. This puts it a few bucks above the kingston but seems to be more consistently lauded.
