Kings is a terribly good show

BSG should have been an action show, not a retarded drama

Drama is for PMSing stay at home mom's and Lifetime.

I want some explosions, some guns, and some T&A.

They're doing a lousy job of making NYC look like a foreign country, that's for sure! I swear that I saw a few MTA and NYCTaxi logos on the cars driving around on those city streets.

paused it and didn't see any logos on the taxis, just TAXI.

I can give them a pass on MTA (didn't see it, but even so)... metropolitan transit authority? generic enough.

I've enjoyed it so far. But yeah, it does seem like one of those good shows that will only catch on with a small nitche audience and get cancelled after the first season. Shame.

We dont seem to like to entertain the idea of alternate realities where the United States ceases to exist.

Another show that I personally liked was Jericho. That dealt with a series of nuclear weapons detonated across the United States and subsequent power grab from internal forces which ended with the United States being split into three factions. The original federal govt that controlled everything east of the Mississippi. The texans, and the a newly erected govt in the west that ends up being a fascist state.

It was cancelled after a single year but an internet petition and flood of nuts to the producers got it back on for a second season where it ultimately failed to grab more than a niche.

Yea...i think we all know bout Jericho here.

Ive been meaning to watch this but im waiting to see if it gets canned before i start.

I thought the self absored whiny near do well price was to much of a Cliche it would have been more compelling to have him actually be competent but because of his sexual orientation his father still consider him unsuitable to lead.Other than that I thought it was pretty well done.

They picked the right actor for the King. It has intrigue. The prince who will never see the throne. The idealistic war hero who has no idea what he is in for, but who will change the direction of the country.

Sounds like good stuff. But I think it will be cancelled. These kind of shows never make it on network television.

Whats with the butterfly flag? Aside from bellowing "King, I am your King!" aloud every time the commerical came on I can only remember wondering what the butterfly was all about.

the story the king tells is that God blessed his kingship by sending down a crown of butterflies and (spoilers) after God deserts him, we see a herd of butterflies circling around David.

i'm watching kings and if you watch it closely, it really is taken almost straight out of the bible. its Saul, David and Jonathan.

You don't have to look all that close to figure it out... hell, even reality TV viewers should have been able to figure out the biblical influence of David killing the Goliath tank!

That said, last week's episode was kinda slow. Perhaps we need another war 🙂

Yea. It's fairly obvious.

The show is just ok to me, kind of predictable, I loved the King actor in that HBO western series, Deadwood.
