Kingmax 1GB PC3200 Dual Channel Kit $83.99

$98.32 - $10MIR = $88.32 for 1GB of PC3200 CAS 2.5 DDR. Very nice, glad to see the price drop on DDR. Great find OP.

Beware the ides of March, this rebate ends today.

Edit: This "review" on Newegg made me smile: "Nothing special it works. No different than 256 single ram I had in my computer before this. I only have diul up internet service. So if you have only diul up and think or gonna get a speed boost. Don't do it"

Wow, what to do? DDR prices are trending downwards fast. I held off on the Corair pair for $98 shipped w/the Newegg coupon code. Do I hold off longer? Decisions, decisions.

AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA LMFAO! 😀

I have this same Kingmax RAM and it's great. I just might get another set. I just got it a couple weeks ago when it was $10 more AR. But since the prices have been falling so fast, I think I'll wait some more. If in the next month I see this dip below $80, then I'd get it.

I like Kingmax RAM. I got in on the Corsair deal and it's great RAM but I woulda bought this if the price was at this point last week.

This is great for a new socket 939 system. Look in the CPU forum for a sticky about Athlon 64 S939 and ram. Buy this stuff. Don't spend more than $100 on 1Gig of ram. It's not worth it.

I bought those memories last week, but one of the modules is bad. In memtest, it constantly gives error at 284MB mark. I tried to switch to other slots, and lowered the FSB to 333Mhz, but i got the same result. now it's time to get rma...

I would recommend the corsair pairs, if you want more quality control (for $17 more?).
just my 2 cents.

I've been kind of out of it in system building, but I'm getting back into it. Building a Athlon 64 on a ECS KN1 Extreme. I never heard of Kingmax, are they good? 😕

I was gonna jump on the Corsair 1GB deal of $98.67, but the KN1 Extreme supports Dual Channel, so this memory would be the better choice?

ummm, the corsair is 2 sticks, just like this, and it's probably a toss up... i got a couple of the corsair and it'll do 225 at 2.5/3/3/8 in my nf4ultra-d... more voltage doesn't seem to make any difference...

and i just ordered one of these since i'm gonna play musical mobos 'cuz one of my k7s5a rigs died... getting a nf3 epox since i already have a 6800 for it... will try both memories inboth boxes and report back after the weekend...

hmm, just ordered mine, but all these cases of memtest errors have me worried. Does anyone have sticks without any memtest errors?
