if you need something for a quest, use it. when you're done, put it back. if we get a ton of an item that can't be smithed/cooked/combined into something else, we can sell them and put the proceeds in the coffer

I completely agree, Stark. Lower level clan members will have a place to pick through to see if they can get what they need to complete quests.

you only get food/drink by adventuring, at least at first
sometimes items get used during a quest, sometimes you keep them. usually if you keep the item you'll never use it again, so it makes sense to give it to a lower level clanster so that they don't have to waste adventures trying to get the item.
I gave most of my meat to the clan coffer. For some reason I didn't get a 10000 when I completed the strange leaflet cheat code. When my two lower characters get to that point, i'll give big bucks (stacks)
we can even build up our military resources and attack other clans... sweet!
Not all quests require you to lose items. Some quest items are only required to be equipped or in your inventory in order to advance in the quest and are not deleted once used. You can buy food/drink at the mall (must be level 3). Most of the time, people in chat are selling food and drink, too. Just send a message through the chat that you need something to eat/drink and you'll get replies.
Remember, alcohol makes you drunk. Check your drunk-o-meter thing on the left-hand side and don't get too drunk! You sober up each new day. You can also eat too much (e.g. You are too full to eat more) and drink too much (e.g. You are too full to drink more). However, if you're too full to eat, you may not be too full to drink. Not sure about vice versa.

Building up the clan defense is something that I was thinking about... Do we build up clan hall defense first? Or do we save up and build a gym (we can get some equipment even right now if we spend 30k) to strengthen the members and not worry about our clan hall being raided and our stuff stolen?
We should get a tree and gym first. then work on the defense. we're fairly new so we should be okay for a while. and we can get money pretty quickly it seems.

Sweet, we have 74k meat!! I've purchased a Potted Meat Tree which will give everyone in the clan 500 extra meet per day from now on. Do with it what you will, but mine's going back into the coffer to pay for the things in the following list...

Is there a description of what each one of those things do? I'd like to know before we drop 30k meat on something.
The first three items help build stats for their respective races. For example, I can probably build my muscles by working out on the Hobo-Flex Workout Machine because I'm a Seal Clubber. I'm not sure if I can use the moxie or magical boosting machines, but they're beneficial in stat boosting either way.
I have no idea what the swimsuit calendar does, but I'll ask around.
The next projects that we'll be working on with our coffer will be those three machines, then we'll work on clan hall defense.

If you want drink, do not buy anything except Salty Dogs.
Everything else is comparatively stupid, salty dogs give 3 drunkeness and 6 or thereabouts adventures.
They are also only 66 meat at the mall, so if anyone needs them, they are cheap.
Sell your whiskey/vodka/gin etc in the chat channel.
Always check the mall for prices on anything you have, it may be worth more than you think! Webs go for 1k at least, 1.5k often, so do razor sharp can lids and firecrackers.
Also, if we have any saucerors, it would be nice for them to do clan work (casting spells for clan members).
