I am willing to bet that this is a hot deal for people who have the money to buy stuff like this. If such a person walks into a B&M store where one of these can be purchased/ordered (I couldn't even begin to imagine where one can be purchased..., probably some boutique store in NYC or Beverly Hills or something), that person will probably pay thousands more.
Just because we belong here, that doesn't mean we don't have any money. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the "silent" members (who never really participate in the conversations) ordered one.
I had the privilege to sleep in one of those "Presidential Suites" at a Hilton Hotel. The company I worked at the time paid for it, and it was around $2000 for a night. Hilton said that the president of some European country stayed there before my girlfriend and I did. It was literally a two-story mansion, once you walk through the door. Anyway, to make a long story short, the down comforter in the bedroom was the lightest, softest, warmest (and cool at the same time) that I have ever experienced. I mean the damn thing "hugged" you! Maybe this is the same one.
