I thought it was pretty great. The fog around the island was creepy. And, of course, the beast himself was awesome.

Edit: The newest version, obviously
 
I enjoyed it a lot.. the first hour dragged a bit but as soon as they hit the island it went into overdrive. Though I hated hated hated hated jack Blacks final line. I know it was supposed to be corny but it was almost painful.

yeah I agree, Jack Black's final line was a bit forced. But overall a good movie, definitely must see on the big screen
 
3 hours is looooong. If it had kept me engrossed then I wouldn't have mind, but in the end the movie felt tiring.

Naomi Watts was super hot though.

Saw it last night and actually I disliked much of his dialogue; much of it was either too over the top or cliche, or perhaps it was just his delivery that made it seem that way. I didn't like him in the role and would have preferred some other actor.

Overall, good movie though.

I found it rather odd that something as big and as thick as a 30 foot gorrilla could be brought down by something as small as .030 bullet from a airplane. You'd be lucky if you could bring down a elephant with a .030 but a 30 foot gorrilla? Hardly. It was an ok movie.

Yea and notice that S there, its plural ... and it was a bunch of barrages of bullets that weakened him. I'm sure an elephant would go down as well with a barrage of bullets.
 
I liked it, although the theatre I saw it in was complete garbage. At LEAST half the screen was blurry most of the movie and everytime someone complained we got a "We're working on it". Everyone got free tickets at the end of the show but it was still a miserable experience. If the movie wouldn't have been so long or as good I would have just walked right out.

Yeah but technically the bullets are what caused him to fall. He was hurt so bad he couldn't hang on anymore..
