King Kong Demo anyone?

just played though it.....IT IS FRIGGEN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just played it. Yes the graphics are a bit old......but its still pretty fun. turn your speakers up and you will experience the action!!! lol The king kong scenes were enjoyable, actually those were the only parts that were fun.

Just out of curiosity. Is anyone slighty bothered by the fact that the game is coming out before the movie. Not trying to sound old-fashioned or anything, but it seems like a new phenomenon that's sprung up over the past few years.

I remember when the movie was supposed to get you pysched for the game, not the other way around. 😕

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm surprised you guys are saying the graphics looks old. Some of the screenshots look amazing. Maybe those were CG cut scenes...

The graphics didn't look that bad to me... If you sit there and stare at things, yes, the textures are a little lacking, etc., but the overall atmosphere they present was quite good IMO. Overall, an enjoyable demo.

I can't play it... the mouse just keeps on drifting without me doing anything :| :|

same here. unplayable. I don't even have a joystick or anything else plugged in that might explain it.

I installed the demo - after which it prompted me to reboot, because it apparently had also installed some Ubisoft "Protection System". The mere thought of what that might be gave me goosebumps, so I promptly uninstalled the whole thing. And from the sounds of the rest of those in the thread who tried it, I didn't miss too much.

I had an issue with the mouse as well, but disconnecting my USB joystick fixed it.

I thought the demo was interesting actually, but too short to get a good feel for it. When playing FP as Jack, the player movement seems a little odd, like I didn't have good control of my character, and like I had to get lucky to pull off the escape.

When playing 3rd P as Kong, some of the cool parts like swinging through the jungle, were too setup, you literally can't screw up swinging from tree to tree, or fall scrambling across a cliff, which makes it seem like you're watching the action than playing it. Kong's movements during the fights is a bit too simplistic also, alittle too much clickety click click on the mouse buttons, rather than a variety of possible combo moves.

Overall, I thought it was fun, I didn't really think the graphics looked dated, more they had a different look to them which I think works well with this game. Playing 1st person as Jack and 3rd person as Kong is an interesting change of pace, looks like this might make a fun console game.

Wow, it was better than I expected. It was alot of fun. I'm definitely going to get this game.

I don't think uninstalling the game uninstalls the starforce protection. it's a hidden driver.

I noticed this as well, the control for some reason felt very odd. Like he didnt move quick enough. The mouse sensitivity was all the way up but I still felt like he was going way slow.

The king kong part was kinda dumb. It was really neat to watch, with the weather effects especially, and it really felt like a clash of the Titans. But it didn't hardly feel like I had anything to do with the action on screen.

Quick download from a torrentspy btw.

Interesting. Copy protection for a demo, what a novel idea.
