Kinda urgent.. ripping from MiniDisc to MP3 w/ SBLive?

I have a minidisc player which has some tracks I've recorded on it which I'd like to convert to mp3.. how exactly can this be done? Is it possible to plug it into my SBLive! thru some sort of Aux jack? And how can I record from there, or is it even possible? Any help is greatly appreciated...I need this done by tomorrow.. ack! Thanks 🙂

The only way I can think of is to just do it in real time.... and to plug it in using a regular line out from your mini disc player to the line in jack of the SB Live..

It's possible, I've done it before. Hook up the line out of the MD player to the line in on the SBLive. Get yourself a good wave recording program and record. Then, convert the WAV to an MP3 with CDEx or a similar program.

you still cant transfer from md to computer, only the other way around

Sony bans *theyre* *software* from uploading from the MZN-1, they said so. What isnt so clear is can you build a program that will do it.

Something possibly more useful is creatives Minidisc center. Can record from MD and track them if im not mistaken.. its on the CD.

Like Ludacris66 said, if you're in a pinch just put a line-out from your headphones jack to the coaxial-in on the Soundblaster. SB used to have a wave recorder as part of the Live-Ware (do they still?). Record your mp3s and then cut, edit the .wav files with an editor. Last encode to mp3.

No this is not digital quality reproduction. However, it looks cheaper than some of the other options that involve additional upgrades. YES is can be done and has been.

It does work.... by using opengl... what you smoking? It works perfectly fine on mine.
