Since I had some ddr3 for free (from anand himself 😛 ) and needed a new system, I decided to get an am3 asus board and a Phenom 2 810. I want quad-core because I intend to run 2, 3 or 4 VMs at once.
Anyway, anand did a review with this and got good OC results, decent ones with the stock cooler but I thought I *might* get an aftermarket cooler and see how cool I could keep it.
Thing is, the one he used is a $60 cooler, and Im not interested in paying that much. What kind of aftermarket cooler can I get for, say, less than 40 bucks? The cheaper the better, really, if the results will be decent. I have a coolermaster case on the way and plan on adding an extra fan or two to that, so overall the system shouldn't get too hot to start with.
