Kinda hot ATi Rage Pro 8MB card w/ TV-Out for $20+S&H

This seems like a pretty good deal if you're just looking for a decent AGP card with good TV out and DVD playback in hardware. Shipping is around $7, not too bad for an 8MB AGP card with really good TV out, plus it's got Windows 2000 drivers available from ATi.

According to the item description, the TV-Out works great. Who knows, Ive ordered from them a few times and they've always been decent.

Hmm their sentence makes no sence, I think they're saying the tv tuner doesn't work, which is strange. Otherwise its a good card, good drivers/tv out. good deal.

That is odd. Tv-tuner + tv out would make this an All-In-Wonder Pro, I believe. 2D is wonderful on my pre-pro AIW, but I don't think the 3D would be able to handle any of today's games.

Didn't those Gateway Destination PC's include the TV that only had VGA in as a connector? What do you want to bet these cards have no S-Video and/or composite out?

its hard to get a name brand vid card for that cheap, great for people who don't play games (yes, a few of those luddites exist...)

This card does not have TV out, just TV in for the tuner. There is only 1 bnc connector.

TV out is not usually done via the BNC connection, it is done via a video out RCA or S-video jack.

Yep, after I emailed them they realized the mistake and fixed it. They emailed back this morning with

&quot;Dear customer the website has a misprint the tv portion of the card does not

I'd be careful with this company. They had a sale in the newspaper for a pair of Altec ACS45.2 The picture showed the Altecs, and all it said was &quot;3-Speaker system&quot; for $14.95. I went to the store, and they said that they couldn't honor the price because it wasn't their fault about the error. I said BS, and came back. Filed a complaint with the state attorney to investigate.

The site explicitly says that the tv tuner doesn't work. I ordered one of these, and never opened it b/c they changed their product description after I ordered it. They wouldn't respond to my emails for returning it, so I wouldn't buy anything from there anyways again. Since I used my blue card with return protection, I just returned it to AMEX and am waiting for the credit for this piece of junk. Anyways from the picture you can see that there is no TV-out b/c there is no composite or s-video jack coming from the back of the card. I bought it hoping the tv tuner would work, but it doesn't according to their product page.
