kind of a stupid question..but please help

i can't seem to run giants:citizen kabuto on 1 of my computers. the version i'm using came with my audigy card. the computer i can't seem get giants to run doesn't have an audigy. so now i'm wondering if this is the source of the problem. does anyone know?
 
sometimes bundled software is crippled to only work with the hardware it came with. There could be any number of reasons a game doesn't work on a pc, especially one as powerful as Giants. I've never heard of sound card specific bundles, but it wouldn't shock me. What are the specs on this other pc you can't get it running on?

 
specs: athlon 1.13ghz, tnt2 mg4 32mb, sb live digital, 256mb ram.

the program opens but never reaches any menu. it will display something like "ErrfailedSND". not sure if that the exact message but the SND made me think that it has something to do with the absence of the audigy. it's quite weird you know. safe mode wouldn't also run. the readme says that giants works ok with the tnt2. i'm not sure what the problem is.
