Kind of a strange story...

At work, there is a guy who is basically a loser. He has zero friends, everyone makes fun of him, and he just takes it. When he fights back, he just makes things worse. I'm basically the only person in our workplace that's nice to him. I don't make fun of him behind his back, and when I do I laugh with him rather than at him. I laugh at his jokes whether they're funny or not. Like I said, I'm the only one that's nice to him. He's 20, in college, and still living with his parents. He never goes out or anything like that. I invite him out for pool with some friends of mine. We all have a good time, or so I thought. The other day at work, only a few days after we went out for pool, he told me that he "wanted to beat the f*ck out of me." Me, the only guy that's nice to him. And he wasn't even joking. I'm not concerned, as I'm confident I could take him in a fight. But I'd rather not get involved in a fight. I just think it's funny that of all the people he picks to start stuff with, he picks the only person that's been nice to him.

I don't know. I asked him, and he said that he just wants to. So, I'm just not going to be nice to him anymore, and wait until he either fights me or gets over it. 🙂

what a douche bag. I kinda hate misanthropic people like that. freindship makes the world go around!

Or did you just beat his ass in pool to the point where he wanted to fight you?

Screw him. What a nut job. I think you did a good deed asking the "class clown" out for a night. Guy needs help. Just make sure you're not around when he brings a gun to work.

I think that he might just be a little "off". Oh well, you know that you did a nice thing, so thats what counts..

He's pretty freaky. He seemed okay at pool. He's better than me, but I won a few games. I don't recall saying anything to offend him. I told him that there was a word for his attitude toward me: ungrateful. I don't expect him to fall on his knees in thanks for me inviting him out, but I certainly didn't expect him to want to fight me. I thought once you got older, this stuff stops happening.

Now you know why no one else talks to him, maybe they can sense his instability. Beat the crap out of him and then ignore him like everyone else. 🙂
