Link 2

Going to be released tomorrow, likely along with the new DLC maps.

Search function and joining friends has been improved upon. I know this was a common complaint here.

Also, there's a new "high precision" mode available that is more responsive than the original controls (though I thought the tweak they applied with the earlier patch helped). This should make the game much more appealing to those who wouldn't buy or disliked the game for that very reason.

Figured I'd start a new thread, as this would probably get lost in the original KZ2 thread.

Are the control changes available in single player also or just multiplayer?

I haven't played this for a while and should revisit it. Still need to complete the game on the hardest difficulty (or at least up until the end--I'm not that masochistic).

I think SOME developers/representatives said that. But hey, you have to give them SOME sort of credit for listening, especially since players can pick either one. They've been working on/tweaking the controls almost since it's been released.

I'll be checking it out tomorrow, I think. If not, probably Friday. I'll see how it feels.

Apparently the patch has been delayed. No official word on new release date.

Does this effect single player?

I've skipped KZ2....was considering getting it sometime in the future after I beat Resistance 2, which I didn't get till last weekend.

Yeah, anything not specifically related to multiplayer should also apply to single player.

Nice! Last I heard, the patch was delayed indefinitely. Apparently Sony found a pretty bad bug in it during testing...so GG had to fix it...and then send it back for re-testing (which apparently takes a long time). Fast work, if that's the case.

Going to go download it and test it out. :)

Update: Just tested the high precision mode for a bit. The deadzone has definitely been reduced, and the controls are definitely more responsive to small or quick movements. If you never picked up the game because of the controls, I'd say go for it now. It should satisfy many players.
