If it was about the intelligence of an animal you'd be taken care of a long time ago.

As to the poll: Yes they deserve to die and I hope they burn in hell.

Who's they? We are asking if Kill is morally acceptable, no they.

You fit the classic definition of a troll.

No I don't actually you do! You wander from thread to thread offering no useful insight into the subject matter being discussed, you just call someone a troll and head out.

Isn't that how you got all your posts? Hijacking others' threads?

To get YOUR thread back on track:

If no one killed, our society would cease to exist. We would have to revert back to gatherers. Even worse if no one killed plants. Then we would all look like Trident and die.

Lol, Fair enough.

But no I go into a thread, ask a question about the subject being discussed then people go mental at me shout, scream, throw a paddy that I disagree and subsequently derail the thread :)

show me a thread where the first post of yours was "just a question" with no personal exact opposite opinion to the OP...

One thing that hasn't been discussed here is the issue of morality. Mores are different in just about every different ethnic, religious, and social group.

What one group considers to be immoral, another group considers to be perfectly fine and totally acceptable.

Many groups of people consider homosexuality and bisexuality to be totally immoral...yet I don't see the OP who openly proclaims himself to be bisexual ranting about what a terrible sinner he is...or how immoral his actions are.

That's because I don't believe I am...? sorry I don't understand your point?

He's saying (sorry if I'm putting words in your mouth boomer) that morality is relative. If you had grown up elsewhere (say India in a Muslim household) you'd probably have a different set of morals than you do now.

Take eating dogs as another example. Though it's not necessarily widespread, and is technically illegal, there are Koreans who eat dogs. I wouldn't call this immoral, but the way I've been raised dogs and cats are pets, friends, and helpers (well, not cats). Not food. Had I grown up in Korea, it's possible that I might see nothing wrong with eating dogmeat, since it's been done for ages and is still accepted (even if not condoned) by some of the population.

The point is...Morality and morals are flexible and change all the time.

While many folks don't see your bisexuality as being immoral, in many countries, it could get you killed...
Killing people and animals is another category of "morality" that varies based on location, religion, social acceptability, and many other things.

I have a lot of Native American Indian in my ancestry. Killing people was a way of life...and something that defined who the warrior was.
Killing animals was not an issue for these people, but they generally didn't kill anything they didn't eat.

Absolutely morality is completely subjective based on the era, location and individual.

Errrm. Yep.

So then...what the fuck is the point of this thread?

Many folks here were brought up in families and communities where hunting was not only morally acceptable, but encouraged.
Varmints and pest animals were something to be controlled...by killing if necessary.
No morality issues what-so-ever.

The point of the thread was to find out how many people agree with the statement "killing is fine" in a moral sense.

It wasn't to dissect the basis for each individuals morality which obviously would have been effected by where they live etc. Although they were welcome to offer in more detail an answer than yes or no, discussing what exactly they think

So... this is all completely irrelevant to the data I was trying to gather. And the answers I was looking for.

On a side note I would argue that certain morals are absolute, even if social perception that pertains to each moral changes from year to year and place to place.

For a nation that made a national sport out of chasing foxes down with a pack of dogs until they have a heart attack, British people can be really uptight.
