I have rayovac which works fine. make sure you get the right one.

I agree with you on the alkaline rayovac batteries, they suck, I have only been able to recharge them a few times before they leak. On the other hand though I have the one hour charger from them with the BYD batteries a it works like a charm.

At Wal*mart, I saw that they had Digital iConcepts 4 x 1800mAh for $9.99

They also had a Digital iConcepts 2 hour charger with car cord + 4 x 1800 mAh batteries for $16.27.

good company, ships fast, i ordered a 2-3 hour charger + 4AA and 4AAA NiMH batteries for $22 shipped! and i got it in 3 days! works flawlessly! awesome company.

Don't know if its been covered because I'm too lazy to read the WHOLE thread, but I just wanted to warn you not to buy a "rapid charger" (less than 4 hours) that does NOT pulse charge. These cheap rapid chargers that do not pulse WILL shorten the life of your batteries. In general you know your charger is doing damage if your batteries are getting real hot while charging.

For what its worth, I bought these bydUSA batteries (the ones this thread was all about) a long time ago and I have been quite happy with them. No problems at all. I have had way too many, but just bought the radio controled B2 Stealth bomber ($25 after coupon from JCPenny.com if you are interested do a search -- very phat deal) which requires 8 AA for the controller. I'll finally get to USE these bad boys!

nevermind I just purchased the 16AA's 1800's and smart quick charger for $35 shipped. Nice price locally 1800 "Monster" brand and charger and 4AA is $39.99 plus tax :(

good find you all.

I ordered a bunch of their "C" packs to build a external Laptop Battery.

A pack about 5.8 pounds should deliver 2 hours of power for both my cell phone and IBM ThinkPad T20 laptop.

I asked around on a RC Airplane forum for recommendations on a decent charger for my needs. The price range is all over the board, I went with a middle ground one that a lot of them use

Got a dead battery pack for my rechargeable Drill that I would like to replace. I opened it up and it's a dozen C - sized cells. Do I need to replace these with the same type (NiCD vs. NiMH) and same specs (1800 or whatnot)? Tks.

$129! Wow, looks like a cool charger, but if I was going to build a 12v battery pack, and I am, is there some less feature-rich and less-expensive option? Can I just adapt some other 12v charger? What about something like this for $32 http://www.hobbico.com/chargers/hcap0100.html

I could build a pack where each cell was removeable and charge each AAA (or AA) by itself, but I'd rather be able to recharge the whole thing at once.

A dozen "C's", that's one heavy drill! Either NiCad or NiMH would work, however, you have to think about charging. The charging function with the drill is probably for NiCad, if that is the original, and it may not charge NiMH batteries up fully. As for the mAH rating, the more the better.

i have bought from them before....i bought a 100 pack of AAA for $65 and a 50 pack of AA for $65 (got free shipping cuz the total was over $100)!:)

pretty much all my AAs are in use, well at least the ones i haven't sold already are in use....however i have 80 or so AAA that i could move....if interested let me know and PM me shipping info (never used PM before here so forgive me) i'll check my stock of AAs when i get home tonight and see if i have any left!
make me an offer as well!

will these work in my nomad ii mg which has its own charger? the batts i have now are the stock creative ones... 650 mah nihm... as long as i put nihm's back in it will be fine right?
