Guys, how about these:

AA 0.89 Cents each (1800 mAH)
AAA 0.79 Cents each (750 mAH)

It seems that shipping is HIGH, unless your order breaks the 50 dollar barrier (free shipping) , also the more batteries you buy the less each costs.

Anyone had any experience with these? It seems like a better deal, if you want to spend more than 50 bucks.

I have a friend whose ready to get in on 25 dollars worth with me, anyone else want in?

Anyone want to go in on half of a 24pcs order with me? I don't need all 24, I think 12 would be sufficient. If you want i could split a 50 order.

PM me if you are interested

How'd you find shipping cost? I went through checkout and got * Shipping cost is determined after your order is packed for shipping and will be shown on your invoice.

Yeah, whatever. I'm not shopping at a place that will determine the shipping at some unknown future date.

I once dealed with MCM but gave up. their 1800mah battery is even worse than panasonic 1200mAH. I use Maha charger to charge it and could only take 30 or 40 pictures (Panasonic 1200 can take more than 80 pictures. )

MCM does not make batteries. They are a retailer. In their inventory, they offer NiMH batteries by (at least) Panasonic, RCA, Duracell (Dynacharge), and Eveready (Energizer), across several mah ratings.

If you have had a bad experience with a particular brand of NiMH battery and could be specific about the manufacturer and model, please post that, as it would be very relevant to people shopping for batteries!

I'm willing to buy 4-6AA and maybe 2AAA. I already have some AAA that I used to use with my old Palm III, and I have a charger that does both AAA and AA, so all I need is some AA's for the MP3 player I picked up on amazon today.

Someone PM me or email at akjnk@hotmail.com, we can work something reasonable out.

I received the batteries yesterday ... they look like the picture on the website ... but there is no mention of Duracell on the battery jacket.

I even did a search for that battery on google ... and there was nothing to be found.

Can anyone post a link that legitimizes this battery ?

Thanks.

They should last at least 5 years, probably a lot more if you take care of them. Probably best to let them almost drain down before recharging. Use them a lot, they actually last longer that way.

Anyone know if you can remove the tabs off of the 'C' batteries and use them like normal batteries? Also, what's the difference in the 'C size' and 'sub C size' batteries?

-- edit --

Battery Charger + Batteries for all 5 main types (AAA, AA, 9v, D, C)

This is a decent deal far as I checked. The 4D (7500 mAh), 4 C (4000 mAh) alone are a decent deal for the $69. Thomas Distributing has the 3500 mAh C's for $15.97 for a 2 pack, and 7500 mAh D's for $24.97 for a 2 pack, granted they are the Powerex brand. Throw in the extra batteries and charger, and if you're looking for more than just the AA & AAA batteries, it's a pretty good deal.
C batteries are a little bigger than Sub C, is my impression. I had a drill that I think used sub C's, 5 of them.

I like their C batteries, and I'd get the 10 pack of Ni-MH for $20 but I only need 4. Do you (or anybody else) want to split them? If so, PM me. Maybe we can work something out.

Actually, C Size Batteries are ideal for applications such as torches, cycle lamps, toys and so on..These kind of NIMH batteries will remain in full voltage during 75~80% of the usage cycle.

i'm currently in charge of a group buy. from www.mcmelectronics.com
just need someone to order about $5 more to reach $50 for free ship.
following is what others have confirmed:

________________.75 .84
________________AAA AA
brett____________x 8___6.72+3.85
Akumax_________ x 8___6.72+3.85
dp004i__________6 x___4.5+3.85
soiundboy_______12 20 ___24.80+3.85
mikek__________4 8___9.72+3.85
alm 99, ________ 12___13.08+3.85

can everyone pls send paypal NON CC funds to kguo@hotmail.com so i can start placing the order?
i will be using USPS priority flat rate envelope, and it may seem unfair to ppl ordering less, since i don't have a scale w/ me its hard for me to calcualte exact rate.
if anyone changes their mind pls let me know.if there are errors in my calculation, pls also let me know.
one more thing, i'm in CA, i don't know if they charge me tax or not, if they do i will need to add 8.25% on top of battery cost.

I want my 4 for my bicycle headlight. I have 4 NiCds in there now, but they are almost 5 years old and I figure they are nearing the end of their usefulness. This is my 3rd set. I don't know if these NiMH's are as amenable to my charger as the NiCd's but they have soldering tabs which is great for me. I often have problems with the batteries making contact and if I solder everything up, that will be a thing of the past.

Why do you want that? To prevent shorts? In the past I have actually soldered to the end contacts of NiCads. Of course, I was concerned that the heat would screw up the batteries, but I seemed to do OK. Not the preferred way of doing things. If these batteries are good quality, it would be worth it for me, even, I suppose, if I can't think of good uses for the other 6/10. $20 for 4 good quality rechargeable C batteries with solder contacts would be a winner for me. If I can find someone to buy some off me, so much the better. However, I'm concerned about the quality based on some of the posts I've read in this thread. I have only read maybe 15% of the posts so far, though. Does anyone have experience with the C batteries (I think they are all NiMH, none NiCd)?
