does anyone have it, or is there a review on it? what exactly does it do? seems extremely pricy for something that supposedly just gives you beter ping in games
 
ya it helps if your completely retarded and your objective is to put the most expensive things in your PC just so you can say.. hey look guys... see that? 1 weeks pay.. see that? 3 weeks pay... see that? 6 weeks pay... sweet eh?
 
If you want the networking guys to all laugh at you when you try and show off your cool new "KillerNIC" purchase, then yes, by all means, get one. The only thing you'll prove by buying this moronic product is that "gamers" are about as dumb as a box of rocks and will buy ANYTHING. The ONLY thing this product is good for is subtracting $280 from your bank account, that's it!

Oh, and those Newegg "reviews" I'm sure are from employees of the company that make the card. That, or just some lying mofos. This product will give you ZERO performance gains, GUARANTEED.

Hmm or maybe people hear about this thing and come to a forum associated with a tech review site to see if this new thing is worthwhile. AT'ers are starting to annoy me.

Well that's different. I believe it accomplishes this by actually bringing the satellite closer. It truely is an AMAZING card.

Listen, I'm hardly an expert in these matters but what's important here is the fundamentals which I do understand well.

Take a look at the past. We had the "trick" Trionnes bus master drivers (which were tuned to inflate winbench scores on ata disk performance). Hard drive manufacturers (WDC) in the past tuned their firmwares to do the same thing making the benchmarks stand in front of the competition whereas the real world performance was not faster in the slightest bit. Then we had the infamous "detonator" fiasco with NV and 3DMark. So where does that leave things? The unexplored territory of networking hardware. Gotta give them credit - they're smart as they have tricked a lot of folks - some surprisingly "knowledgeable" about pc hardware, but ignoring the basic fundamentals and physical layers that will prove this product to be 100% snake oil in all claims.

Those that are suckered into buying it will defend their losses until it's proven - beyond a reasonable doubt - that its claims are ficticious and the drivers installed on the victim's systems are making all applications including tracert and ping - report bogus and skewed results.

It's not hard to realize and do - c'mon guys, I'm hardly a guru. 🙂

There is absolutely no way, that changing the NIC in a system is going to send pings faster across the same physical medium.

They are trying to sell this NIC as if it has the benefits of a good CISCO router built right into your PC. That isn't where the bottleneck in networking is. It is the physical connection that our ISP's give to us, and the bandwidth they limit users to.

The comment about speeding up a satellite connection has to be the most priceless review on newegg.
 
My husband bought me one of these after I started complaining about the framerates I was getting when I was playing WoW, D&D and CoH. This thing is better than any silly necklace or flowers he could have gotten me. I love this thing! All gaming is better with it. Now, make more programs for it!!!
