I see so many police officers on the phone, texting, and general bad driving that I'm not surprised it finally caught up to one of them. I personally loathe the ones that ride my ass on a 2 lane road while chatting away on their cell phone.

I've yet to met a male officer that was a good person and not on a power trip. Even the ones I know personally scare me as you never know if they will snap. The women officers seem to not have that issue and still remain authoritative.

I've met a few good ones. They certainly exhist, but yeah more than a few are on power trips

Duh. Being a dick is half the reason for being becoming a cop. If I were a cop, I would park my car in a construction zone and I would give out massive speeding tickets to those people who don't slow down. I would also go slightly below the speed limit in the left lane during rush hour because I know nobody would dare pass me. That must be a pretty sweet job to have when you're not being stabbed by minorities.

it's because of examples like these that there should be federal law or at least a nationwide effort to make public officials / govt. employees ineligible for pension & other compensation if they were convicted of a felony, regardless of whether or not the crime occurred during the course of their official duties.

Just for perspective. The guy who owned the egg farms that poisoned a number of people also got to keep all the money he made and no criminal charges were filed.

A female trooper died in a crash last year, a cell with a text msg was found on the floor board.

Swept under the rug, they even tried to ticket the poor bastard driving the truck she crossed into.

The real waste is she was a school liaison and the tragedy could have at least educated the generation raised on msg'ing.

If they were my girls, the last thing he would hear would be a distant "pop".
