I lost my cellphone today and some kid picked it up. I was using my friend's phone to call my phone for about 1hr and finally someone answered the phone and told me to meet somewhere. when I met him, he was about 15-16years old and asked me if he gets a reward for returning the phone to him.

since he seemed pretty nice, I thought it wouldn't hurt to do a kid a favor so I gave him $5 for his efforts.

he left right away and I decided to check the call log. it turned out that FOCKER put 20minutes of overseas phonecalls on my cellphone! and he also had the phone for 45 minutes before he decided to answer my calls.

I have his last 4 calls saved, but dunno what to do with those numbers.

BUT DAM!!! these kids need to learn... and quick!!!

At least you got your phone back dude, he could have just kept it and used it a whole bunch more. Its a shame to see you put a lable on all high schoolers, but whatever.

That sucks, you got scammed.
Should always call the company and have them shut off the phone if that happens.
And if that does not work, then you go down there and explain it to them, mabey even their manager.

Take the numbers he dialed and look them up in a world search service for phone numbers.

it's just that I've seen too much of this 'bad' stuff going on for highschool students.

I goto university now and everything is so different. students you meet on campus are generally nice people and would never pull pranks like that.

high-schoolers on the other hand don't think about their actions. 1/3 of them are pure jerks.

but of course, there are a lot of great people in high-schools... and those are the people who graduate and get accepted to good colleges and universities. the rest, I show no sympathy for them!

Amazing what you find when you turn a rock over just a bit. WTF!!!!! So if a highschool student doesn't get accepted to a good college or doesn't desire to take the college route, s/he's categorically trash????

I think you may have seen too much media on high school problem kids. I know plenty of hard working, smart, kind, highschool grads, and drop outs. I know you just got ripped, and he probably wasn't the only one using the thing, but man that's a little far to say kids that don't go to college are no good. For instance, neither of my parents went to college and they're good people.
