Kids take to fake smoking Smarties candy

Those aren't Smarties, those are Rockets.

Also, I knew kids who snorted those in elementary school. At least one ended up going to the hospital.

Haven't they been doing that with those gum sticks that come powdered and packed in paper tubes for years? Come to think of it, I haven't seen any of those in a while...

cool. remember those candy gum cigarettes that you blow on and fake smoke comes out? im eating one of those right now. its good at first but the flavor lasts literally 1 minute. and they had those white hard candy cigarettes too. hard to find that stuff these days.

So they crush the candy up, put it in their mouth, and then if they blow it out it looks like smoke? THIS is what people are concerned kids are doing? Jesus fucking christ, this isn't worth a 2nd thought.

No, those are Smarties.

Anyway, I remember a couple of kids snorting crushed up Smarties and Pixie Sticks in middle school. It was only for a laugh during dull moments in class, though.

Hows it any different from fake cigarettes from when we were kids?

this is SNORTING crushed smarties...not just eating a candy like we did when we were kids

"Doctors say that smoking Smarties can lead to coughing, infections or, in rare cases, maggots entering kids' noses to feed on the dust residue..."

How are all these maggots getting into noses in the first place?

Obviously you didn't read the article because it states very clearly the danger of "maggots entering kids' noses to feed on the dust residue."

Doctors say that smoking Smarties can lead to coughing, infections or, in rare cases, maggots entering kids' noses to feed on the dust residue, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal

Hahahaha, they totally just threw that in there to scare the s*** out of the kids when the parents show the kids the article 😀

Nestle Smarties are not available in the states.

the closest product would be M&Ms chocolate.

wat...
we used to sometimes crush it up and just eat it or try to mix it into a drink..didn't work so well. inhaling the stuff would %@# hurt. you might as well inhale coolaid or pure sugar, be like pepper spraying yourself in the lungs and sinus.
