Kidney stones suck

They have ruined my weekend.

At least I was given anti-nausea medicine that got rid of my nausea by making me vomit

Yeah man... yeah they suck. When it's gone it's such a relief - until you get another one. 😛 Drink lots of water... don't get another one.

If you need any incentive to drink water to avoid getting another one... I had to have surgery once because of a kidney stone. There was no incision. Think about it.

Passed naturally....:Q

That can't be possible. That thing is bigger than a kidney, just about.

You thought that was bad?

Check out this bad boy but since it wasn't passed naturally since it would had easily killed the person it doesn't count. 😉

That is not a kidney stone that is a alien pod:Q

The invasion has begun!!

My largest was only about the size of a pencil eraser. I still cringe when I think about it.

They get easier each time.

That's not true. And I've had more than I can count. Lemonade and Beer are your friends.

And just think, if that sort of thing comes from an oyster, we call it jewelry.

I had one a few years ago. All I remember of the situation was crying was squirming on the kitchen floor in excruciating pain. 🙁

Lord, tell me about it! Then they tell me its a small one. Fuck that - this guy has to be at least 2 feet across!

Now, if you'll excuse me I have spent more than 20 seconds in one position.....

Wtf, is this really common for old men? I don't want to get it - I drink a ton of arizona green tea, gatorade, water - am I good?

another question for those of you who have had kidney stones - did you still feel sore after you had passed them? TBO - I never had a real sense that I had passed mine, but the past is almost completely gone now but around my kidney and my abdomen is still a tad tender to the touch

Nope, just really sharp back pain while I had them.
Fantastic pain while I passed them.
Sublime relief when they were out. No soreness.

my brother has had several, and used to have them almost weekly until he got some medication and made some drastic dietary changes. i thinks its been 3 or 4 months since his last one.

no caffeine, no chocolate, no pork are the only changes i can remember him making, there are probably a few others. he also drinks a lot of the V8 Fusion Juice and, since he's now 21, probably goes through a 6-pack a week of beer, usually german, but pretty much always European.

I've had some and yes they suck! First time I tried it without any meds... Wow that was painful and stupid!! Won't do that again. I thought it was strange every nurse and doctor tried pushing the meds on me, guess I should've listened.

If you guys suffer from stones, drink a lot of water and OJ. Citric acid helps break down the stones.
