WTF that kid needs to be charged and not allowed to play. the coaches of that team need to be charged and never allowed to coach.

Coaches need to be banned. The kid who leveled the ref needs to be banned from play for life as well.

I played little league and later baseball for a decade when I was a kid.

There are refs that are incredibly stupid. I remember one where the kid tipped the pitch and already had 2 strikes. The ref called him out and the ENTIRE GROUP OF ADULTS sitting in the stands, and I mean EVERYBODY including the other team, SCREAMED at the ump that the kid tipped the ball as if the ump were freaking blind and deaf. The ump changed his call, but there are a LOT of things that happen in baseball that are outrageous and piss off those who are playing and having a good time.

i hope all the adults rushed the field and beat down the ump, because that is the only rational response and best example to set for the kids.

That's assault, plain and simple. Good thing that the little bastard wasn't in pads. I hate that whole atmosphere at these youth sports today. We had a couple of of real doozies last year at my lttle girls soccer games.

What a terrible article. They spelled his name "Ream" and "Reams" and at one point called him "the Reams."

Kid ought to be charged. Better to learn now that there are consequences for attacking people.

I assume the catcher didn't catch the ball? Wouldn't surprise me if the fans didn't know that rule.

Saw the video.

All who participated in this are animals, plain and simple. Also I saw some ghetto stomping on the tackled ref's head at one point.
