Instructor said she needs to get more aggressive, any suggestions?

Congrats. Now she just needs to earn her redwings and she'll be all set. ;)

i don't know what kind of studio ur child pratices at but most places i've seen are pretty soft...they hand out belts if you pay enough money.

You could put her in a cage and poke her with a stick.

I would recommend feeding her raw meat and making faces at her as well.

Either that or let her play pc/video games in which the goal is to kill and conquer.

If's she like most other beginners, she'll just stand there and try to block...rarely doing any kind of attack on her own.

She just needs to practice and be more confident. Stand there and have her practice kicks on you....over and over...don't do any attacks of your own...don't even block. Just move around in different positions and let her keep trying different kicks..combos and different punches.

I let her read this thread, she doesn't want to be put in a cage & poked with a stick, but you-all got lots of laughs:D

Thanks:D

Did she want to take Karate or did you want her to take it?

She wasn't too excited for the first 8 months or so, but now the class is 80% boys & she's been noticing boys for about a year:D

I seem to recall a pic from the last time she earned a belt (wasn't that last week? jeez, she's climbing the ladder fast!) where a boy was noticing her!

Pics were from a tournament a month or so ago, forgot about the boy scoping her out.

Note to self, "Kill boy"...
