kicking my seat in the movies

i wonder what goes through the minds of those people who kick the backs of other's seats. Do they not understand that they aren't the only ones in the theatre. Can they not have some type of consideration for others?

I was watching Narnia (I liked it) and this girl kept on kicking the back of my seat throughout the whole movie. I turned around 3-4 times and looked at her and her friends. They were around 11-13. My seat still got kicked. What the hell is going through their minds, its bad enough that they talked throughout the movie. Man, her parents should not let her out. I finally turned around and told her to stop kicking my seat, she looked away and tried to act cool as if she didn't hear me, but the kicking stopped.

About a year ago, my seat kept on getting kicked. I tapped the back of it to show the man that it was bothering me, and that he is kicking my seat. It continued. I turned around and told him to stop, and it continued. Then i angrily told him to stop. I might have cussed, but I don't remember if I did. You know what he did? He pushed his leg into the back of my seat. Just slowly pushing it, to bug me. The man was at least 50+ years old.😕

for those of you who do kick other's seats over and over again, are you just dumb? rhetorical question, i know.

oh man,that's a good one too. I'm not a small guy, not obese or anything, just big, and i get practically no room when they do this. I also get air sickness, so I have to lean forward to keep myself from vomiting, so it adds on to the suckiness.

The appropriate way to deal with jackasses is just make it clear that you will hurt them if they keep doing what they are doing. Don't just look at them, they obviously know what they are doing. Don't ask them nicely to stop, again, most times they know they are being a jackass and simply don't care. Just say something that makes it clear you aren't really asking.

Of course this works less well if you are 5'2" and 110lbs, in that instances I recommend the drink thing 😉

If nothing else, move to a different seat - have theater personell remove them and demand your money be returned.

One time a lady almost crushed my laptop screen when she lean her airline seat back... I had my laptop out doing some work, since there was minimal room the laptop was basically up against my stomach... when she leaned her seat back, it caught the top of the screen and kept pushing it down, but the laptop had no where to go!

I quickly tilted the laptop at an angle to avoid being crushed

Ummm, fifty really isnt old. When my dad was fifty he was still a mean and healthy bastard. But he had ettiquette so the movie thing wouldnt be an issue.
For the little girls, just try showing them your chest hair. If they dont run off right away try rubbing popcorn butter on your nipples.

Told someone to stop kicking mine once, he was a fairly built guy, and he decided he was going to deck me, he swung, I moved and his momentum carried him forward and he fell over the seat and hit the ground in front of me... I politely asked him if he'd stop kicking my seat now... he got removed from the theatre...
