I find it hard to believe, a PX-712SA for that price, but it's coming from Amazon, so I went ahead and ordered it. I trust they will refund me if it's an error.

Am I completely missing something here or is this a screaming deal?

EDIT: FYI, Shipping ran me $7.49 to my CA address... Amazon says it will not ship until the 22nd... But hey, for this price, I cannot complain
 
These look they are from Office Depot. They do weird stuff with clearance sometimes.

These are end of life drives, but for that price, if they work, it is a hot deal. Hell, that's a good price for a DVD ROM.

Actually it is coming from Office Depot through Amazon. But I am in for one.
 
thx op mine came to 17.76, in ca. I was looking for a sata dvd-r drive and this is hot. Anyone have any comments on this make and model? this is my first plextor

Those are the two best cons I've ever heard of!

I would think not having DL support would be in a similiar camp
as having a massive 12v single rail
-who needs it!!! I assume this has no lightscripe stuff either!

AT Deal of the year! I'm in for 4@<$56 shipped!

I can already envision my IDE-less case set-up!!!

I usually skip these sort of things since they're cancelled more often than not. But I'll take a chance on this one. Amazon and Office Depot are both generally good to deal with, so if it does get cancelled I'd expect them to promptly refund payment...

2 pioneer 111D for 32 each and IDE!! (still a great deal at the 'egg)

I just cancelled my order for 1 drive and made a new order for 2 of them😀

Who wants yucky ide cables. These will come in handy for my new conroe build when vista sp1 comes out SMOKIN
