Someone definitely brainwashed her mind. How can you spew shit like that? The hate is strong in this one. Sad.

i'm against all this hate stuff, but i'm also pro-free speech. you should able to say whatever you want, no matter what (but not be able to publish fake/misleading stuff via the media, books, etc.)

Was she arrested? Is she charged with anything?

No.

Do NOT confuse social backlash for government infringement of speech. If you say something stupid that pisses a lot of people off, be prepared to hear about it.

Really? In the US? If this was the case then there are a lot of little fringe groups running around violating the law. You are confusing so called "hate crimes" with "hate speech". The scary thing to me is that you actually believe this which means that somehow you missed out on learning about the US Constitution and its acknowledgement and protection of fundamental rights all people have by virtue of birth. That includes being able to believe and spew ideas that others might find to be noxious.

gonna reserve judgment until I see her without the loose fitting robe - she may have knockout tits that make the speech less offensive.

As horribly offensive as her speech is, she is free in this country to say it.

It's always easy to defend speech that you like...it's the stuff that you hate that becomes most difficult to defend...and like it or not, THAT is what needs defending the most.

All that being said, I think I'd cheer if some old Floridian Jew walked up and beat the shit out of her for what she said.

You MAY have the right to say whatever you want...but you also have the freedom to get the shit kicked out of you for saying it...especially if it's "Hate Speech" aimed at a person or group of persons.

Can't say I blame her. If she's Palestinian and those Israeli's are bombing and destroying her homeland then I feel her pain.

1) Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

2) Never argue with stupid people - they'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

it always surprises me when seemingly educated people interpret the First Amendment as giving a right to say anything you want without restriction. There is no unfettered right in this country to free speech, free press, or assembly. Pick any of those three, and there are a myriad of restrictions/regulations.

I'm not saying that what this dumbass is shouting is not protected... just making a general comment at the absurdity of some of the "free speech" comments.

Reason #17128 to be nowhere near a public demonstration. I don't have to listen to retarded crap from either side. Well, until someone posts it on the interwebs.

This. She's a dipshit, but kicking her out of the country or even advocating that would be ridiculous.

So are you advocating blind acceptance of court rulings and interpretations of the First Amendment that seemingly fly in the face of the plain and unequivocal language it is written in? The Supreme Court's final say is only as good as the last case brought before it on any particular issue. If this were not so then rulings such as Dred Scott v. Sandford or Plessy v. Ferguson would still be the law of the land. I find nothing absurd in defending the rights acknowledged in the 1st amendment even if it is not always in fashion.

Wrong. Unless such speech is likely to result in imminent lawless action, it's entirely legal as a First Amendment right. And, let's face it, if a KKK rally can shout out phrases about "revengeance against n***ers and Jews", I'm pretty sure the pro-Palestinian crowd can too. Sure, it's vile and repulsive, but a crime? Absolutely not.

I'm not advocating anything. I'm simply putting forth the reality of free speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly in this country. We can debate it back and forth till we're both blue in the face, but it won't change the outcome if either of us walks into a crowded theater and starts screaming "fire!!"

She should move to northern Idaho, but then I don't think those people up there care for Muslims either.
