Considering it has more sheetmetal behind the door than in front of, it should be a 4 seater. Otherwise get rid of that gap and give it true sports car proportions. Plus it has that very flat roofline that would give good headroom in the back (better than a Mustang for sure).

Hot. I like the general shape. And the weird low-slung headlights.

Maybe it just tickles me because it goes against all the modern Decepticon concepts and actually attempts some smooth lines and doesn't over-complicate.

One thing about Kia that I know is their concept vehicles look substantially different than the production vehicles when its all said and done. I'd be surprised to see it come to market anywhere close to the pic.

I also got the 'older concept' vibe. 90's cars went for super-round instead of the current super-sharp trends. Which is pretty much what I liked about it...I dunno, it still seems 'modern' to me, but without the styling trends that I've come to hate.

It does look a LOT like that Audi. Wow. Also got a bit of a hump-backed FRS/BRZ thing going on. Neither is really an insult, though. It is a little odd how plain Kia's styling always seems to be in comparison to Hyundai's aggressively 'modern' styling. You know...being the same company and all.

I'm not feeling the front end. The mouth shape is just weird (and I'm fairly tolerant of weird front ends). Also I'm not a fan of those vertical lights. I see them on some 370z's and they look horribly tacky almost like bad aftermarket. Rest of it looks decent though.

It looks very... interesting. Maybe if they showcased the car in a different color it would be more complimenting of it's features. I highly doubt this will make it to see the light of day, and if it does you can guarantee it won't look or perform the same as this model, but I'm happy to see Kia stepping out of their econobox approach to cars.

Peter Schreyer (born 1953) is a German automobile designer for Kia Motors, widely known for his design contributions to the Audi TT.

In 2006, Car Design News called the Audi TT one of "the most influential automotive design in recent time".

He has been the Chief Design Officer at Kia Motors since 2006 and on 28 December 2012, was named one of three presidents of the company. Three weeks later, he became the Chief Design Officer of both Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors.

Kia appoints ex-Audi designer Schreyer first non-Korean president

"We should not have let him go," Volkswagen's Chairman Ferdinand Piech told Automotive News in an interview in November.

Looking forward to see what Kia can do with RWD.

A turbo'd 2.0L with 312hp isn't too shabby, but I'd much prefer the Tau motor from the Genesis/Equus that produces 429hp (tho it'll NEVER happen for this car).

Aint shabby but unremarkable. It needs to be as fast as it looks and 312 just seems small by today's standards.

I'd counter that by saying the BRZ and FRS are unremarkable at only 200hp. They sold well initially, but everyone wants a BRZ or FRS turbo now. That might make 250hp, so 312 is a substantially better number for this type of car.

We are soon going to see the end of the renewed HP wars, and you won't see another factory Mustang with over 650hp ever again. 312hp might look really appealing in a few years.

Looks a lot better than the Toyota Supra concept thing in the other thread. The lights/wheels will change as the car is closer to release, but it's not a bad start I think. Refreshingly different.

Also, it's too bad none of these new cars are mid engine. :(

I'm not to keen on the massive grill on it. Just looks, out of place for some reason. I'll definitely check it out at the Toronto Auto Show this year.

The mid-size, sporty, RWD car segment is starting to get a bit crowded with some good competition these days. BRZ, GT86, Miata of course, Ford seems keen on pushing the new Mustang into this genre. Now if Mazda and Honda would get off their butts and bring back the RX-8 and S2000.
