Last time the sub item was the HP 2.4x 25pk for 10.00 i believe.
The nice thing was that the rebate still got accepted with the sub upc/receipt.
Hopefully the same thing will happen.

That's nice to know. My closest store still doesn't have any of the HP's (at least not on the endcap where they stock the blank dvd media).

Got these, just burned the first one and there is a messed up section in the middle of the DVD. Burning a second one right now, will update. Anyone care to share their experiences with these discs?

I got the Value Disc for the sub, it turned out to be CMC MAG R01. I guess it's ok since I've burned it fine so far.
 
anyone know a good app to test for disc error? my ritek g04s burned/read okay, but just wanna be sure..😀

what burner do you have? If you have a liteon, get K-Probe. If not liteon, Nero has a scandisk that seems OK. DVDinfopro also has a scandisk feature.

Update: Burned 10 succesfully and no coasters after the first. I guess it was a fluke, maybe it was the burner.
 
So these KHypermedia DVD+Rs are CMC MAG R01? I've had good luck with those in my LiteOn 851S and DVR-106 burners.

 
I've used the Khypermedia -R discs before with no problem... Backed up a lot of stuff and haven't had a bad burn yet (knock on wood). Might give some of these +R's a shot and see how they turn out... I'll let you know!

My friend and I got what seemed to be the last two in our closest OfficeMax. Glad to know that some people are burning successfully...

I am still wondering though if my $80 Emprex (from Fry's) will burn it properly. The only time I tried to burn a non-4x disc ruined the disc. Does anyone have any experience with Emprex and Khypermedia 2.4x?

You guys getting subs...are they giving them to you OTD @ the AR price? Or they telling you to send in the rebate?

If I can walk in the store and pick up 25 dvdr's for $10 OTD, I could care less what they are.

The is a rebadged 4x BTC drive. you might find some helpful info on what media works best with this drive and firmware updates at the BTC forum at cdfreaks.com

They only offer subs when they run out of the sale item and don't plan to get more in stock, since the Khypermedia DVD+R 25-Pack have not even sold out on-line yet it may awhile before they need to start thinking about offering a sub for the Khypermedia DVD+R's disc.
