kg7-raid problems

Here is my situation:

I have one system: athlonxp 2400+, abit kg7-raid, 512MB of PC2100.

The other day that system died on me. It would not POST. I took out all the components save the proc, mobo, and mem but still no dice.

I have another working system: duron 1GHz, asus mobo (i forgot the model but its capable of taking sdram and ddr), and 384MB of PC133.

I took the duron and put it into the abit kg7-raid board and started to get continuous long beeps. I reset the CMOS and the beeps stopped. Every time I exchange the memory I get the beeps until I clear the CMOS. It never POSTs tho.

I also took the athlonxp proc and placed it into the asus board but I get nothing, no POST, no beeps. I also tried the PC2100 ram in the asus board and still nothing.

I am confused at this point. Is it the athlonxp proc that's bad, is it the abit board, the pc2100 ram, all three of those components or just a combination of two of them.

Can anyone venture a guess as to what might be wrong, which component is bad?
