They look like sushi chefs to me ... that's what I thought when I saw the commercial. Pretty much the only place I can remember ever seeing anyone dressed like that is at the sushi bar yelling greetings at you as you walk in the restaurant.

That is not a negative stereotype even, people tend to get upset when they're negative. Others don't make the "same assumptions" about blacks. They typically say "blacks are criminals" "blacks are crackheads" "Blacks belong in jail" a bit fucking difference than showing Asians in attire that's not even racist. If the commercial had shown blacks in doo-rags, unless they were shucking and jiving there would have been nothing wrong with it either. I have seen plenty of commercials with blacks in doo-rags and haven't heard of anyone raising a stink.
