keystroke shortcut for IE

Does anyone know of a way I can program one of my mouse buttons to open IE. I've got a Logitech mx510 and among the usual choices (back, forward, etc.) there is a choice to assign a keystroke (including keystroke combinations like alt f4). Is there some keystroke shortcut that opens IE? Because then I can program the mouse to do just that. Thanks.

You can make a keyboard shortcut by creating or editing a shortcut to ie in the start menu.

Configure the middle button to any unused key combination then
Right click the shortcut>properties>shortcut key
Enter the key same combination for the shortcut you wish to lauch with the middle button and hit ok.
