Sorry Cad. While I once enjoyed batting you around, dissecting your idiocy point by point, you became tedious long ago. You lack the intellect to make interesting arguments and the honesty to admit when you've failed. Reciting the same unsupported talking points over and over doesn't make them true. Even worse, unless you are a literal parrot, it's also no longer entertaining.

Get back to us when you can offer actual, factual evidence to support your claims. Anything less is just useless noise.

You leftists love to make sure the gov't gets to tell everyone what is good for them. Net positive or negative to society? This is a private thing - society has nothing to do with it. ...
And this is precisely where today's right-wing, greed-driven value system fails society. You have become morally bankrupt, accepting as dogma that making money for the few trumps the welfare of the many. It is a horribly destructive, and ultimately self-defeating ethos.

Capitalism is arguably the best system mankind has ever devised, but its Achilles heel is greed. Without an effective balance between greed and good, capitalism will destroy its host. That's the role of government, to provide those checks and balances, to ensure capitalism operates within the boundaries of the greater good. That our increasingly corrupt government fills this role poorly does not change that responsibility.

Ah yes, there it is... the "independent" bowfinger. lol My original point stands and nothing you've stated changes it. Your examples aren't even close to this issue no matter how hard you try to claim they are.

LOL. Now that I've read the back and forth (and CAD's replies), it appears that Bowfinger replied to a comment of mine and that's what started this. Hilarious considering he is on ignore, and he knows it.

Keep fighting the good fight there Toolfinger and keep on projecting, as usual.
You put me on ignore? When? That's awesome, thank you! Now I can refute your nonsense freely without committing to a string of follow-up posts swatting your lame attempts to save face and change the subject. You, of course, no longer have to tax your limited intellect by having your GOP faith challenged. It's a win-win!

I will note that, just like Sir Cad, you also fail to even attempt to show how the eight GOP-opposed issues I cited are materially different from Keystone in terms of ignoring the will of the people. You just waved your hands and pronounced it so. Perhaps you and Cad can team up for a synchronized sophistry exhibition. I bet the Fox judge will give you a perfect 10.

... he squawks yet again, while still failing to provide even the tiniest hint of actual evidence. It's just a flesh wound, right Sir Cad?

:D

Get well soon.

You are the one making the claim they are similar. It's obvious to anyone(not a leftist) that they are not but as usual you push it off on others instead of backing up your blather.

Read the post with the link from the washington post - i'd love to hear your take on that... in fact I'm popping some popcorn right now as I just know you'll put on a good show.

A prominent union boss warned on Wednesday that Democrats will pay for blocking the Keystone XL pipeline.

"For every action, there’s a reaction, and our members’ reaction will be felt in the next election,” Terry O’Sullivan, general president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), told PoliticoPro.

LIUNA, like many unions, gave generously to the Democrats during the midterm elections. The union gave more than $2.3 million to Democratic candidates and $920,000 to the party’s main super PACs for 2014.

O’Sullivan went on to say the Democrats who voted against the pipeline, “took food off the table of our members, and we don’t take that lightly.”

He then vowed “to assess from top to bottom who we give to, what we give.”

I'm not sure which direction to go with this article.

-Either laugh at the Democrats for pissing off unions...
-Or laugh at the union leadership for being oblivious to the fact that his own actions handing millions over to Democrats took lots of food off the tables of union members...
-Or laugh at the union members who, when dealing with a budget apparently make food the very first item cut out from the family's monthly expenses. I suppose the quote "Democrats took premium channel packages off member television subscriptions" doesn't have that same impact.

I'm no expert but I would think that if you have a large enough Union you would be able to just strike.

The entire West coast is currently experiencing a longshoreman union strike. They have basically told the ports to fuck off. I wonder how much they donate to politicians though.

How can a union strike against a project that doesn't exist yet?

democrats don't care about unions. They just allowed 5million new low skill workers to legally work in the USA. I'm sure those guys are going to be the pro union type. LOL. More like pure union busting by the democrats.

And don't worry if you have a college degree, soon your job will be replacing by someone from overseas on a work visa, willing to work for min wage

How do you know they aren't already working?

Probably have more real world skill than most of our college grads.

Many are probably working at low skill jobs. And they would have more real world; they are a lot older.

However, any that are under the table are also driving down wages for people that are here and working legally.

Dems haven't really made a big effort in support of unions for quite a while. Not so sure that it's the big monolithic voting block that you think it is for Dems. The public employee unions maybe. Now they still get a lot of money from the union leadership but not so much in votes from the rank and file.

Is there any kind of better leverage?

Fern
Bribing politicians is one of the best investments around. Peasants go bankrupt and lose their houses while bankers get bailed out and pay themselves bonuses with the bailout money. Also, none of the bankers responsible for 2008 went to jail. That's a pretty sweet deal. You could probably shoot up an elementary school then bomb a hospital and get away with it if you bribed the right people. Just say you work for Goldman Sachs and the police will drop the investigation.
(This is a lot closer to reality than anyone wants to admit. Remember how a guy last year was killed by 8 shots from a nailgun and the police ruled it a suicide?)

We appreciate your past donations, but the railroad companies donated more, so we've decided to declare your union a terrorist organization and kill all of its senior members. Better luck next time, and by that we mean there's a nailgun waiting for you when you get home.

They would buy the land from owners that are willing to sell. There is a lot of land in America, and the part held by rational people, is for sale.

If you have to pass through Government owned lands, like a fucking national park, or some shit, then go around it.

You don't have a clue about what's going on with this pipeline.
