Hi guys, I am just wondering if there is a way to detect if a keylogger is installed on your system. I am running windows 7 on a dell box. Thanks.

There are too many undefined variables here to provide a definitive answer. Though, depending on the sophistication and resources of your opponent, a keylogger may be very difficult or even impossible to detect with normal methods.

If you are concerned, it would be prudent for you to learn more. Securelist has an excellent article.

Normally, you can detect a hardware keylogger by inspection.

Software keyloggers can be very difficult to detect, but if you have the resources installing a network tap, collecting, and analyzing packets as they leave your system should provide you with insight as to whether a keylogger is sending information from your computer.

Best of luck,
Uno
