Also I really don't need all those fancy ass mmo keys and macro keys and whatever. Just need a back lit keyboard with a nice padded palm rest

It's up to you. I actually got used to and very much like the click of Cherry MX Blue keys. It gives a very rewarding snap to my typing when I hit the detent and register a keystroke. Could just be me lol noises don't bother me.

I'd like to try a Topre Realforce but it's prohibitively expensive for a keyboard. Then again I'm not a programmer or database editor etc. So perhaps it's only expensive for my usage. If my keyboard is how I made a living, perhaps it would be worth the investment over time.

I am getting a ergonomic keyboard because that better suites me then a gaming keyboard because I can't play long because I have carpel tunnel.

I am thinking the Microsoft 4000 unless you know of a really good ergonomic gaming keyboard for $100 or less.
