Keyboard trays: yay or nay?

I hate keyboard trays, but I still use them.

Why? Because nearly every computer desk I've ever had was too tall, even with my chair at the highest level (I'm 5' 8" if that matters).

I'd love to put my keyboard on the desk, but it just angles my wrists awkwardly.

Nay for the shitty ones that always come with desks you buy at the office stores. Yay for the awesome, adjustable, sturdy ones the maintenance people install at my work.

I like mine. It is lower than I would like, but whenever I'm doing research it's nice to have extra space for a book or two at the front of my desk rather than way on the back. It's also wide enough for both the keyboard and mouse, which seems to be rare.
