keyboard purchase advice

I'm looking to buy a cheap keyboard (the piano kind, not the letter kind 🙂 I want it for playing at home and to use as a midi controller on the computer. I'm just starting to play, so I don't need fancy stuff - just the basics will do. I'm currently looking at a used Yamaha PSR 510 for $125. Is that a better idea than a cheap (100-150) new model? Any recommendations?
