Keyboard Problems

I have an Asus CUSL2-C with win2k Sp2. I have a compaq keyboard from one of thier systems that was like a year old. It is USB. Sometimes, it will just stop working. So to make it work again I have to unplug it from the USB and plug it in again. Then it will work. Whats wrong with this and how can I fix it? Is it the keyboard or mobo?

moosey, sounds like a software problem to me. Did you load any drivers for the Compaq k/b, or does it show up as a standard k/b in the device manager. Maybe you could try removing the harware from the device manager and then reboot and let Win detect the k/b. Just a thougt or two, hope it points you in the right direction.
